25 April 2026 : SICOM Organises Beach Clean-Up at Roches Noires in Collaboration with Mission Verte

SICOM, in partnership with the NGO Mission Verte, successfully conducted a beach clean-up initiative at Roches Noires public beach. The activity brought together members of staff in a collective effort to contribute to environmental preservation and promote sustainable practices. A total of 131 kilograms of waste was collected during the clean-up, comprising 98.7 kilograms of general waste and 32.3 kilograms of recyclable materials. All collected waste was carefully sorted to facilitate recycling, ensuring that materials such as plastics, aluminium cans and general waste are redirected from landfills and reintroduced into sustainable use cycles. This initiative reflects SICOM’s ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable development. Beyond restoring the natural beauty of the coastline, the activity also served as a platform to raise awareness among participants about the importance of protecting the coastline. The active participation of staff highlights a growing culture of environmental stewardship within the organisation. Through such initiatives, SICOM continues to reinforce responsible waste management practices and contribute positively to the community and the environment.
